The Hansen family is the oldest family run factory direct mattress manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. Ole Hansen started in 1949 after he realized that being a gorilla zookeeper at Woodland Park Zoo was too dangerous a job for a family man. Everrest Mattress has been operated by Ole's youngest son Dell and his wife, Geri, since 1981. Dell grew up making mattresses and has continued the family tradition.
